AUSTRALIANS spent more than $11 billion buying goods online in the 12 months to April.
National Australia Bank's latest online retail sales index found that internet sales made up 5.1 per cent of total retail spending in the 12-month period, up from 4.9 per cent a year earlier.
Nearly three quarters of the $11.1 billion spent by shoppers was on buying goods from Australian websites.

ON a Friday night nothing needs a strong plastic bag than a 6 pack of beer and 2 bottles of wine.How do you think I felt when I got to the BWS checkout at TOp Ryde with my $80 of purchases and was told "No we dont have plastic bags"I mean WTF are you supposed to do ?Just now I have been to Target and had the same experience.I bet stores are loosing heaps of sales due to this attitude of poverty with regard to plastic bags.
